Going for 27 years strong, Vans Triple Crown of Surfing is the world’s premier series of big wave surfing events. Vans needed a way broadcast the pinnacle experience of big wave, competitive surfing on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii to a larger audience. Black Sun worked with the Association of Surfing Professionals and Vans to design the first live mobile webcast app for any action sports event. The app supported live feeds and scores, on-demand content such as news, results, photos and videos over the 20 days of the event.
